How we are paid
On receiving your enquiry we invite you to come to our offices (or if this is not possible at your place of work or home) for a preliminary meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to establish whether we are able to assist with your needs, and help you to meet your objectives.
We will provide you with our terms and an estimate of our costs for providing you with the services you require. There is no charge for this preliminary one-hour meeting, and no obligation on either side. We always agree any fee with you in advance, and before doing the work, but we are quite happy to discuss your needs in the first free meeting.
We may agree to do a financial planning report for you, in which case this will charged based on our estimate of the time it will take to do the work. You can find our hourly rates in the terms of business, under the heading Legal Documents. Financial Planning fees attract an additional VAT charge.
For work that involves arranging an investment or pension, we will agree a fixed fee that is on a sliding scale, and is related to the amount of the investment. This fee is VAT exempt. We will also agree a fee for keeping your financial plan and your investments and pensions under review. You can find details of our fixed fees in our terms of business.
